There are a wide variety of public grants from regional and national bodies with different funding lines. Each of them has specific requirements to be fulfilled by the entity applying for support.
The objectives of these grants, therefore, are many. However, they always focus on projects related to the environment: energy saving and efficiency, renewable energies, sustainable mobility, reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, waste management and circular economy.

It is focused on circular economy, energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects and above all it is very relevant aid for companies in sectors such as the automotive, aeronautics and space industries.
Many autonomous communities have aids related to projects to help protect the environment. For example, in the case of the community of Madrid, a corporate tax deduction can be applied for investments related to environmental protection. In addition, the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge grants subsidies to third sector entities for the development of activities of general interest that are considered to be of social interest in environmental protection.
It is the only EU financial instrument exclusively dedicated to the environment and climate action. Eligible projects under this programme can be Environment and Resource Efficiency, Nature and Biodiversity and Environmental Governance and Information, Climate Change Mitigation or Climate Change Adaptation projects.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and the Environment aims to use these grants to promote environmental information in the media, with the aim of increasing society’s awareness of biodiversity conservation, the fight against climate change and the importance of moving towards a greener and more sustainable economy.
